Fence & Gate Repaint

The Work

A full repaint of the timber boundary fencing, sliding gate and slatted screen panels, completed 26 February 2026. The fencing had weathered back to bare grey timber with surface mould and split boards through the older runs, so every panel was pressure washed, treated and left to dry out properly, with loose and lifting boards refixed and the worst sections sanded back before priming. Bare timber was sealed with an exterior primer and the whole run finished in two coats of a white exterior paint, brushed and rolled so the coating works into the board joins and end grain rather than bridging them. Rails, posts, capping and the gate frames were cut in by hand, and the slatted panels were done face and edge so no grey shows through the gaps. The sliding gate hardware, track, motor and the meter box were masked and worked around. Garden beds, paving and the pool surrounds were drop-sheeted along the full length and the site was cleared on completion.
