The Work
An interior repaint through a Fortitude Valley apartment, completed 21 March 2026. The unit was repainted while vacant so walls, ceilings, doors and trim could all be done in one continuous run. Walls and ceilings were washed down, filled and sanded — old fixing holes, patched plaster and cable penetrations were made good and spot-primed so nothing telegraphed through the topcoats. Walls were rolled in two coats of a low-sheen off-white and ceilings finished flat white, holding a clean line into the bulkheads and around the sprinkler heads, air-conditioning vents and smoke alarms, which were masked individually and cut around rather than removed. Doors, frames, skirting and architraves were cut in by hand and finished in semi-gloss for a hard-wearing, wipeable finish. The kitchen joinery, benchtops and appliances were fully masked and sheeted, and carpet and tiled floors were drop-sheeted for the duration. The apartment was swept and cleared at the end of each day and left ready for handover.
