Fortitude Valley, QLD
Deep teal walls and ceilings through a Valley bar fitout.
A full repaint through the main bar room and front lounge of a Fortitude Valley venue, taking the space from bare and patched board to a deep teal. Walls and ceilings were washed down, filled and sanded, then sealed so the dark topcoats would sit even across old and new surfaces. Colour samples were brushed up on site and viewed under the venue's own lighting before sign-off — dark tones read very differently under warm track lighting than they do on a chip. Walls and ceiling were rolled in a low-sheen teal, with the front room finished in flat black to hold the pendant and downlight glow without hot spots. The original brickwork was masked and left raw as a feature. Every downlight, track head, air-conditioning unit, speaker and exit sign was cut in around by hand rather than removed. Timber floors, the bar joinery and the fitout carcasses were fully sheeted for the duration, and work was staged around the venue's trading so the room was clean and clear each time it opened.
