The Work
A full interior repaint through a South Bank apartment, taken from a tired, patched shell back to a crisp modern finish while the unit was vacant. Walls and ceilings were washed down, filled and sanded throughout — old fixing holes, patched plaster and the reworked pantry recess were made good and spot-primed so nothing telegraphed through the topcoats. Walls were rolled in two coats of Dulux Wash&Wear low sheen in an off-white, chosen for a high-traffic apartment where walls get wiped rather than repainted, and ceilings were finished flat white to keep clean lines into the cornice and bulkheads. The doors, frames and skirting through the entry and hallway were finished in black as a deliberate contrast against the white walls and the herringbone flooring, all cut in by hand. The olive kitchen joinery, glass splashback, stone benchtops and the balcony glazing were masked and protected, and every switch, power point, smoke alarm, ceiling fan and split-system head was cut around rather than removed. Floors were fully drop-sheeted and skirting lines taped for the duration, and the apartment was left clean and ready for handover.
